Delivery mode
This qualification is delivered to existing workers in their own workplace and with the support and training assistance of their line manager.
All College students undertaking the program are allocated a workplace coach. This coach will work closely with your line manager to ensure that the training design is a good fit with the business and, with your own personal learning style. As well as one-to-one coaching you may be asked to complete some learning online and/or attend some group workshops.
Individual program design
Every person is different, so the College takes the time to design the most suitable learning program for you.
Each program is unique and designed to meet the needs of the individual.
Initially, your coach will undertake a needs analysis where he or she works with you to ascertain your current skills & knowledge and to see where the gaps are.
This process will ensure you have selected the right qualification for you at this time in your career and it will also make sure that we select the right electives that best suit your needs. Once this is complete your coach may advise you that you already have some of the skills & knowledge required for this qualification. When this happens you can have these skills & knowledge recognised through a process called ‘recognition of prior learning’ and then you don’t have to complete training in this aspect of the program.
The coach will work closely with you and your line manager to develop your own training plan. This will outline any RPL as well as what units you need to complete and how you will complete them. Depending on your needs you may utilise any or all of the following learning methods:
Work with a coach one-to-one
Use a textbook or learner resource to complete various activities
Complete various topics online using: online learning resources; learning blogs etc.
Undertake a workplace project where you apply the new skills & knowledge you have gained
Work with your line manager who will train you in a specific skill set
Attend a training workshop with other students like you
Attend a seminar on a specific topic
Attend a conference or product launch etc.
