Organisational change, diversity and electronic communications have changed the face of the workplace. Today, more than ever, success depends upon the combined cooperation, commitment and action of people—both face-to-face and across electronic and cyber channels. That’s why the communication and interpersonal skills of yourself and your team are so critical to business success and individual effectiveness as a manager.

Much of what is most important about management is interpersonal, how we deal with others. Awareness of our own and others’ interpersonal skills can help us enormously in dealing with workplace productivity and staff motivation.
Having positive interpersonal skills increases the productivity in the organisation since the number of conflicts is reduced. In informal situations, it allows communication to be easy and comfortable. People with good interpersonal skills can generally control the feelings that emerge in difficult situations and respond appropriately, instead of being overwhelmed by emotion.
Employers appreciate employees who get along with people at all levels; therefore, they seek employees who have good interpersonal skills, such as communication, problem solving, and teamwork abilities. Interpersonal skills enable you to work with others harmoniously and efficiently.
The business communication and interpersonal skills programs offered by CAL will provide the learner with a sound understanding of the processes of communication as well as a practical toolkit of business communication and interpersonal skills tools and techniques that can be applied successfully in the workplace.
Our short course programs are designed and customised to meet the needs of your organisation and your people. We do not offer off the shelf programs as we believe one size does not fit all.
CAL understands how time poor organisations are and just how difficult it has become to release a key person such as your frontline manager or team leader to attend a whole day workshop.
So, we have designed a series of management SHORT COURSE MODULES instead of whole day (or more) workshops.
These MODULES, are similar to short course workshop, with the following characteristics:
All programs are delivered over a 3 HOUR BLOCK, combining theory and activities.
Participants are encouraged to practice their new found skills in the workplace before attending the second module usually in another week.
All programs have total flexibility however most programs are two, three or four modules with the facility to “bolt on” extra modules that create value for participants.
All our programs are designed to assist participants to manage real life situations and they provide proven techniques and tools for dealing with a variety of challenging situations that can be applied immediately on the job.
Complimentary support coaching is offered for all participants to ensure maximum effectiveness from each program and, as an extra incentive you can align the learning to an accredited program and build credits towards a qualification.
