Skills Recognition & RPL
If you have been working in your current role for some time, you may already have developed much of the skills and knowledge required for skills recognition towards a qualification. In some cases, usually when you have spent some considerable time learning and developing your skill sets on the job, you may find you already have all the skills and knowledge you require to obtain a qualification without any further training.

The College offers skills recognition for the following qualifications and for a large number of units of competence that relate to these qualifications:
Ø Diploma of Management
Ø Diploma of Retail Management
Ø Diploma of Project Management
Ø Diploma of Human Resource Management
Ø Certificate IV in Business Sales
Ø Certificate IV in Project Management
Ø Certificate IV in Retail Management
Ø Certificate IV in Human Resources
Ø Certificate III in Retail
Ø Certificate II in Retail
If you think you already have some or all of the skills and knowledge required for a specific qualification of your choice then you can apply for recognition of your skills and knowledge through a process called Recognition of Prior Learning or RPL.
RPL is a process of evidence assessment using evidence that you have gathered from your workplace in your current job role. It can also include other evidence gathered outside of your job that supports your application as well as any previous qualifications and training you have completed.
If you are in a relevant role and can provide the evidence required (see further details under qualification of interest), the process is fairly straight forward and cost effective. It is also an excellent process for you to conduct your own professional audit on your current knowledge and skills.
