What does The College For Adult Learning do?

The College For Adult Learning is a Registered Training Organisation who offers range of programs and services that are all designed to assist you to improve productivity and increase profits in your business right now! Our unique coaching methodology is focused on working closely with you, your business model, your goals and your people.

How can you help me?

We focus on improving your business. Through a careful process we will identify the skill and knowledge gaps, focus on your business drivers, and design a solution that is guaranteed to produce immediate results and increase productivity. We recognise that organisations are often time poor and are challenged to do more with less time. We will work with you to ensure you achieve sustained productivity, resulting in better performance and profit.

How are you different from other coaching institutes?

There are many professional development companies. Here is a short analysis why our approach is unique:

  • We offer a unique coaching method that delivers guaranteed results – we believe the most effective learning occurs on the job and in a current job context with the support of management and workplace peers.
  • To ensure the learning is targeted and effective our coaches spend time in the workplace with the business manager so that they can better understand the business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
  •  We do not have a one size fits all solution. Our coaches will work with individuals and their managers to develop a detailed and personal learning plan that is tailored to their situation and designed to get optimal results.
What kind of people do you work with?

The College focus is on business improvement and customer service excellence and the people who directly influence this. We work closely with business owners, managers, supervisors and a range of stakeholders and staff.

What is your philosophy when it comes to professional development?

We believe that too much time and money is currently being wasted on inefficient training programs that are primarily focused around the norm and therefore have little to no impact on most individuals who sit outside of the ‘norm’. We are passionate about service excellence and learning being embedded in the workplace. We focus on the specific skills and knowledge required for your business to perform at its best, by taking the time to understand your business needs.

What is unique about your coaching model?

We know everyone is different. Different learning styles, levels of education, behaviours, perceptions and prior knowledge. We work with individuals on a one-to-one basis so that the training is personal in every sense. For more on our unique coaching model please see our Methodology.

How much does coaching cost?

CAL is an independent, privately owned RTO. Unlike many of its public competitors, the College maintains a low-cost operating base and our coaches are all passionate in their belief in coaching and so are themselves College stakeholders. In this way we can keep our overheads down and focus our costs specifically and directly on the cost of coaching.

If you require coaching for a qualification you may find you are eligible for government funded support. CAL offers one-to-one coaching for all government funded programs as well. Please see the individual course pages for specific costs.

What do you get in the Diploma courses?

Each of our courses are different, however you will receive:

  • A Nationally Recognised Diploma

We our now offering the Diploma of Human Resources, and the Diploma of Project Management online. The online program can be taken at your own time, pace and convenience and includes regular feedback and personal assistance from our trained facilitators.

Do you only offer full day courses?

CAL understands how time poor organisations are and just how difficult it has become to release a key person such as your frontline manager or team leader to attend a whole day workshop. We have designed a series of Short Course Modules that are designed for you to have total flexibility. These Modules, are delivered over a 3 hour block, combining theory and activities. Please contact us for more information.
